About
Ioannis Raptis was born in Athens, Greece in 1979. He received his Dipl-Ing. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and his Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Ohio State University in 2003 and 2006, respectively. From 2005 until 2006 he conducted research at the Locomotion and Biomechanics Laboratory of the Ohio State University. In 2006 he joined the Unmanned Systems Laboratory at the University of South Florida. In 2010 he received his Ph.D. degree in the department of Electrical Engineering at the University of South Florida. In 2010 he joined the Intelligent Control Systems Laboratory of the Georgia Institute of Technology.
His research interests include nonlinear systems control theory, nonlinear control of electromechanical/robotic systems and rotorcraft/aircraft system identification and control.
