About

I am a research engineer in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The Georgia Institute of Technology. I joined Georgia Tech in 2005. I received my Ph.D. degree from the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in 2007. I received my Master and Bachelor degrees from the Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Nanjing in 1993 and 1999, respectively.
I was an electrical engineer in Jiang Hai Co. Ltd. from 1993 to 1996, a research associate in Shanghai Jiao Tong University from 1999 to 2001, and technology manager of the advanced control technology department in Huiming Automation Technology Co, Ltd. from 2001 to 2002.
I am a Senior Member of IEEE and has served in international program committee for some international conferences. I am an associate editor for IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics (TIE) and International Journal of Fuzzy Logic and Intelligent Systems (IJFIS).

Research

My current research is the vibration signal analysis and processing, feature extraction, fault diagnosis and failure prognosis. my research also include control theory and applications, iterative learning control, repetitive control, intelligent control, adaptive control, robust control, multirate control, digital signal processing. I am especially interested in high-precision high-speed real-time tracking and positioning system, in which many advanced signal processing technologies are employed and many advanced control strategies have been developed and verified on industrial robots and power electronics. I have published more than 70 technical articles on various journals and conferences.
